Frequently Asked Questions

What shipping methods are offered?

  • Cole Gunsmithing exclusively uses UPS for inbound Gunsmithing Work Order shipments.
      • Ground Shipping for All Inbound Work Orders
      • 2nd Day or Overnight Options: Available By Quote Only

Does UPS offer insurance?

  • Yes, additional insurance may be added to your prepaid label at your discretion. UPS offers $1,000.00 of coverage for every $10.00.
  • In the event of a UPS claim, uninsured packages are only covered for the amount of $100.00.

Can I add insurance to my Beretta or Rizzini warranty label?

  • No, Beretta and Rizzini do not allow for additional insurance to be added to their waranty labels. Both manufacturers offer UPS Ground Shipping to be covered as part of their warranty process, but additional insurance coverage is not allowed. If you would like your firearm to be insured , you will be charged the cost of the shipping label ($45.00 for Ground + Insurance).

Where do I drop off my package?

  • Packages must be dropped off at a UPS Customer Service Center (not a UPS Store).

How should I package my firearm?

  • Cole Gunsmithing recommends wrapping your firearm in bubble wrap or foam padding and securing the firearm in its case. Cases should be placed into a cardboard box large enough to accommodate the case, but small enough to mitigate voids or empty space.
    • Recommended Box Sizes:
      • For 30″ to 32″ barrel guns in cases: 43″ x 15″ x 5″ Boxes
      • For stocks, wood sets, small parts, etc…: 21″ x 9″ x 5″ Boxes
